Emsisoft supports Windows 10

Emsisoft supports Windows 10

Today is a big day for Microsoft with its brand new Windows 10 release. Microsoft skipped the version number 9 completely to demonstrate that this version is going to be something special. Windows 10 makes a transition from a version number based licensing to a subscription based scheme. That means users will always get the latest version via Windows Updates, as long as they have a valid license. But not only customers who buy Windows 10 will be affected by this transition. Microsoft will roll out the new version via online updates on all Windows 7 and 8 installations as well.

It’s safe to update

During the last couple of months, our developers tested all Emsisoft protection products on preview versions of Windows 10 to prepare for the big release. A number of modifications were required as anti-malware software naturally works very closely with the operating system core components to enable protection features. But today we can say with confidence that we can protect your computer well with Windows 10 too.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware 10

The latest version (10.0.0.5561 or higher) fully supports Windows 10. Online update to the new operating system works flawlessly as well. In addition to our own tests, AV-Comparatives also did a thorough test and confirmed full compatibility.

Apart from Windows 10s start bar and its attempt at being a smart phone what is new about it? same system slightly different GUI. I wonder why everybody is going mad to turn a desktop into a smart phone. I’ve seen the thousands of postings unto my eyes glazed over with how do I uninstall Windows 10 and go back to Windows 7. It is such an easy thing to do but people are following links to software to remove Windows 10. Which obviously doesn’t remove Windows 10 it’s a Trojan. I’ve seen the e-mails with “your Windows 10 is now available” e-mail which is a Trojan Microsoft doesn’t send emails about your upgrades with a link. Windows 10 what a mess.. I declined their offer and uninstalled the “update” KB3035583. And what about SkyDrive OneDrive the lack of privacy it is criminal.
