Pups make you smile. Sadly, that’s not what this is about. It’s about the nasty sort of PUPs we all come across quite regularly. At home. At work. Just everywhere. They do not make us smile at all. The main characteristic of a PUP is that it installs on your computer even if you don’t want it, by using tricky techniques to bundle with good programs. It’s just there and you have no idea how it got there. This happens behind the scenes, without your knowledge. Truly a nasty PUP. The result is a slower system, annoying pup-ups – sorry… pop-ups and a good chance that someone is collecting all your data without you suspecting anything.
