Well I just got up and started my machine and received this notification of the update. Do I have to restart the application, or since my machine was off for the night and it was just turned on, does it matter?

Your Emsisoft Anti-Malware or Internet Security installation should automatically update itself on its regular default hourly update schedule. Mine did so without the computer needing to be rebooted at all. If you do have trouble with updates not coming in, please restart your computer, start up the Emsisoft program right away, and click the update link in the lower left corner. If you have trouble getting it to update, please send us an email at support@emsisoft.com. Overall though, no, it doesn’t matter that your machine was off.

Thank you for the reply. My Emisoft anti-malware seems to be working perfectly.
