Emsisoft Anti-Malware & Emsisoft Internet Security released. This is a minor release that adds improvements in usability, compatibility and stability.

This update will require an application restart.

  • New: Options for update/scan/notification behavior during Game mode.
  • Improved: License key validation and mapping.
  • Improved: Automatic update process.
  • Improved: Auto game mode.
  • Improved: Behavior Blocker whitelist handling.
  • Improved: Some minor changes related to application crash handling.
  • Fixed: Occasional crash in the ‘Manage whitelist’ screen.

    I’m not techy so this came as a surprise and then trying to figure what to do…
    Mine seemed to bonk the process of updating. Did it’s thing and restarted whole system only leaving Emsisoft antimalware without the icon in sys tray and unable to start by my shortcut. Rolled back my system and took the update again which this time only restarted the application, not the whole system as it had done before. It worked right this time. I’ve never had this kind of trouble from Emsisoft before.
    Update log of the first time says it was successful. HA!
    As you can see by the log supplied here, it not only didn’t update but left me defenseless by not working afterwards.
    I hope I don’t ever have this happen again to my system.
