Emsisoft Anti-Malware is steadily building up long chains of success in Virus Bulletin’s VB100 results, indicating our ongoing dedication to quality. With impressive results in both the detection rate test and the reliability test, Emsisoft Anti-Malware won a VB100 award once again.
100% detection and highest possible score in reliability test
All antivirus programs were tested on their ability to detect and block widespread malware. With 100% detection scores in both the on access and on demand Wildlist tests, Emsisoft Anti-Malware left almost ten vendors behind in the detection test rankings. Moreover, we earned the highest possible rating (“solid”) in the reliability test, leaving 15 out of 27 vendors behind who scored “fair” or “buggy” in the same test. We also received special mention for our interface:
“Emsisoft’s recent test history shows a good cluster of passes over the last couple of years. Updates are speedy. The product GUI has a very bright and clear tiling system on the front page and looks very clean and slick, with a decent set of controls. Stability was very good, with no problems noted. Our set of tasks got through in super-quick time with normal resource usage. Detection was strong.”
Second best overall in PC slowdown performance test
Virus Bulletin also ranks all antivirus programs on the delay time antivirus programs cause when performing standard activities on a PC in comparison to Windows Defender. Emsisoft Anti-Malware had one of the lowest file access lag times in the bunch and scored great overall in terms of slowing down your PC. In fact, we had the 2nd best ranking in this area out of all 27 home-user antivirus participants!
